Imona means “I have this as my hope” in Etsako language Edo state Nigeria.
Emmanuel Imona Osigue aka IMONA hails from Iyamoh in Edo State, Nigeria, and grew up in the ancient city of Benin. It was here he was taught how to play guitar. He later taught himself how to play keyboards and drums.
After his secondary school education he moved to Lagos and ventured into music production.
It did not take him too long before he found himself in the centre of the Afro-Caribbean music scene in Nigeria producing notable artistes like: Daniel Wilson(Mr. Ragamuffin), Yellowman Denny, Candy Sea, King Wadada, Freeworld, Yvonne Chaka Chaka at the Lagos Pepsi Concert project etc.
